| The Port 'A' Sandcastle
Guy got his start in sand Memorial Day Weekend 1999 in South Padre Island.
It was a lesson from Sandy Feet that hooked him for life. The following
weekend several local Sand Artists in Corpus Christi gave him ideas and
pointers to improve his castles.That October Found the Port A Sandcastle
Guy teamed up with Bert Adams at Sand Castle Days in South Padre Island
for the Texas State Championship. April 2000 entering SandFest in Port
Aransas he took home the solo amateur first place trophy.
Other Contests entered:
C-101 C-Scuptures 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004; Port Aransas Snowman Contest
2000, 2001; SandFest 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007,2009,2010;
Sand Castle Days 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2007. Sandcastle Island
instructor at Sand Castle Days 2008.
Additionally, the
Port A Sandcastle Guy has participated in C-101 25th anniversary party,
Downstown Fundraiser 2001 and 2002, Corpus Christi Hammerhead Cheerleader
Calendar, & Sand in the City in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Ottumwa, Iowa
and Omaha, Nebraska.
In 2009 he authored
his first book: "You Too Can Build A Sandcastle" You can learn more about
